The price of gold in the Nepali market dropped on Sunday following the Tihar festival. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold decreased by Rs. 11,600 per tola today. The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has disconnected the electricity supply of 25 industries for consuming electricity through dedicated and trunk lines without paying premium charges. The NEA had issued prior notice and provided 21 working days to clear outstanding dues in 28 installments, but these industries failed to respond within the deadline. The price of gold in the Nepali market has increased slightly. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold rose by Rs. 300 today, reaching Rs. 253,500 per tola. On Sunday, the price of gold had dropped by Rs. 4,800, falling to Rs. 253,200 per tola. Along with the rise in gold prices, the price of silver has also increased slightly.
