Two teenage sisters have been found dead by hanging in Bhaktapur. According to police, 17-year-old Menuka Kandel and her 15-year-old sister, Srijana Kandel, originally from Panchapuri Municipality–8 in Surkhet, were discovered hanging in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality–8, Bode, Bhaktapur. The sisters were found on Thursday morning hanging from an iron rod in the passage of the ground floor of a two-storey house owned by Chakradhar Prajapati in Sintitar, Bode. Both were tied with a single nylon rope, according to DSP Dhundiraj Neupane of the Bhaktapur District Police Office. Police have stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
