According to sources, the meeting focused on post-GenZ protest politics, exploring the restructuring of the overall political landscape and the formation of a reliable alternative political force through new political alignment and polarization. Participants in the discussion included RSP Acting President DP Aryal, Nepal Samajwadi Naya Shakti Acting Chair Durga Sob, and leaders from the Progressive Campaign such as Janardan Sharma and Sudan Kirati, as well as representatives from the Ujyalo Nepal Campaign and other groups.

Police have arrested a 21-year-old man with narcotics from Beshigaun, Gokarneshwor Municipality-8, in Kathmandu. According to Nepal Police, a joint team from the Crime Investigation Bureau and Bouddha Police Circle arrested Pemba Tamang, a resident of Ranikchuri Rural Municipality-3, Sindhuli, currently living in Beshigaun. During a search of his rented room in Shyam Khaleda’s house, police recovered 162 ampoules of drugs, including 54 Phenergan, 54 Diazepam, and 54 Norphine. Tamang is currently in police custody at Bouddha Police Circle for further investigation.

The Bhairahawa Customs Office has collected a total of Rs 27.75 billion in revenue during the first three months of the current fiscal year. According to Customs Officer Santosh Kumar Nyaupane, the office collected Rs 9.02 billion in July (Shrawan), Rs 9.70 billion in August (Bhadra), and Rs 9.28 billion in September (Asoj). The customs office, which was damaged due to vandalism and arson during the Gen Z movement, had temporarily provided services under a tarpaulin shelter.

The Government of Nepal has successfully rescued 14 Nepali citizens who were forced into illegal activities in Myanmar, while 11 others are still reportedly trapped there. The rescued individuals were brought back to Nepal on Wednesday through the coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok, Thailand. According to the embassy, the rescued citizens had been lured to Myanmar under false promises and forced to work in illegal online scamming operations.
