A pregnant woman suffering from labor pain was rescued by helicopter from Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality–6, Marang, in Myagdi district today. According to the District Administration Office, Bishnu Kumari Garbuja, who was brought to the Marang Health Post with labor complications, was airlifted to Gandaki Hospital in Pokhara for further treatment. The Gandaki Province government has been providing free air rescue services for pregnant women and new mothers in critical condition from remote areas.
Two people were killed and four others were injured in a tractor accident in Shadanand Municipality–4 today. According to District Police Office Bhojpur Chief Raju Lama, the tractor (Province No. 1–02–003 T 1213), carrying timber from Chamladang to Dingla, met with an accident. The deceased have been identified as 25-year-old tractor driver Ait Bahadur Tamang of Kerabari, Shadanand Municipality–4, and 17-year-old Nabin Tamang of Charambi, Arun Rural Municipality–4.
