A passenger bus traveling from Kathmandu to Mahendranagar met with an accident this morning in Kanchanpur, killing one person. According to the District Police Office, the bus (registration no. Na 7 Kha 6182) overturned along the East–West Highway at Krishnaur Municipality–2, Vani. The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Bal Bahadur Bohara, a resident of Krishnaur Municipality–1, Band. He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Vani Hospital. Police said only five people were on board the bus at the time of the accident, and the driver has been taken into custody for investigation.
