BP Highway Blocked Due to Continuous Rainfall and Landslides

The BP Highway has been blocked following continuous rainfall since Thursday. According to the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchok, the highway has been obstructed in both directions due to landslides and mudslides caused by the heavy rain. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabin Bishta said that landslides and mud at various points along the highway have caused the obstruction on both sides. The affected areas include Chaukidanda, Char Sau Besi, Dalabesi, Biruwa Danda, Boksikuna, and Narkel, among others. DSP Bishta further informed that it will take some time to clear the debris and restore traffic movement along the highway.
