Sixteen Nepal Army personnel were injured when a military truck met with an accident along the East–West Highway at Churiyamai, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-15, on the Makwanpur–Bara border Tuesday afternoon. The accident occurred at around 2:50 p.m. when a team under Deputy Commandant Harsha Bikram Adhikari from No. 2 Rajdal Battalion, Tanahun, was traveling toward Dhanusha. There will be no advance ticket booking for Dashain travel this year. The decision was made today (Tuesday) in a meeting between the Department of Transport Management, transport entrepreneurs, and traffic police. In previous years, the government opened advance booking for passengers returning home for the Dashain festival. However, Director General of the Department, Rajiv Pokharel, said this year advance booking will not be implemented, as schools have already closed and many people have already started traveling home.
