Tribhuvan International Airport has resumed flight operations. The airport, which had been closed since Tuesday due to the GenZ movement, has been reopened effective immediately, according to the airport office. Former Deputy Prime Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, who was in custody for trial in the fake Bhutanese refugee case, escaped from the Sundhara-based Bhadrabandi Prison on Wednesday. According to prison sources, there are currently only around 100 inmates in Bhadrabandi Prison. Rayamajhi, along with some other inmates, has gone out of contact, while a few have reportedly called the administration, assuring that they would return.
