As part of nationwide protests on Tuesday against the government’s brutal crackdown on Monday, Gen Z activists have targeted the Chief Minister offices in Madhesh and Sudurpashchim provinces. Protesters entered the offices, throwing stones in both locations—Madhesh Province’s Chief Minister Office in Janakpurdham and Sudurpashchim Province’s Chief Minister Office in Dhangadhi. The protests in both provincial capitals have intensified since early Tuesday morning. Gen Z protesters have taken to the streets in two major urban areas of Hetauda, Makwanpur. Demonstrations occurred in Hetauda and Manhari Bazaar in the district’s western region. Protesters in Manhari Bazaar set tires on fire, blocking the East-West Highway, according to local resident Shivkumar Rizal. Nepal’s Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Ramnath Adhikari, has resigned from his post. Adhikari, elected from Dhading Constituency No. 2, announced his resignation through a written statement at Singha Durbar on Bhadra 24. In his statement, he accused the government of resorting to suppression instead of respecting citizens’ democratic rights to question and protest peacefully. “I felt a sense of guilt in clinging to my official responsibility.
