Rapti Hydro and General Construction Ltd. is set to begin the auction of its unsold rights shares from tomorrow. The company had previously issued 100% rights shares (1:1 ratio) based on its current paid-up capital of Rs. 612,793,800. Nepal Police’s Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has concluded that 111 individuals were directly involved in the Karnali Development Bank scam. After an extensive investigation, the CIB submitted its report to the Government Attorney’s Office, which is now preparing to file a case at the High Court in Nepalgunj, according to sources. Defaulters of troubled cooperative institutions will get an exemption on interest and penalties if they clear their loan principal and interest by Bhadra 31 (mid-September). According to a notice issued by the Office of the Management Committee for Troubled Cooperatives under the Bagmati Province Ministry of Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, borrowers of cooperatives declared troubled will not have to pay additional interest or penalties if they settle the dues by the deadline.
