Traffic along the Narayangadh–Muglin road section remains completely halted as authorities work to clear a massive landslide at Tuin Khola in Chitwan. According to the Bharatpur Road Division, a large landslide occurred at around 4:50 PM on Tuesday, and additional debris continues to fall from above. The Muglin–Narayanghat section of the highway has been blocked once again after a massive dry landslide struck near Tuiun Khola in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality–5, Chitwan, at around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Earlier in the afternoon around 1 p.m., the road had been partially reopened for one-way traffic after clearing a previous slide. Prithvi Highway Reopens in Both Directions After Landslide Clearance

The Prithvi Highway has reopened for two-way traffic after being blocked by a dry landslide at Jwankhola in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality–10 on Monday night around 10 p.m. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bheshraj Rijal of the Dhading District Police Office, the landslide was cleared to resume traffic. He cautioned, however, that the risk has not yet been fully mitigated, as debris continues to slide while bulldozers work to clear the area. Former Namobuddha Mayor Tank Prasad (TP) Sharma Timalsina Passes Away

Tank Prasad (TP) Sharma Timalsina, former mayor of Namobuddha Municipality, passed away this morning. His nephew, Prakash Timalsina, confirmed that Timalsina died while undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital. The 67-year-old Timalsina, from Namobuddha–2, was elected mayor in the 2017 local elections. He had been seriously injured on Shrawan 10 in a traffic accident on the BP Highway at the 20-kilometer mark, while traveling toward Kathmandu on a scooter driven by his son, Kishor.
