Several highways across Nepal have been obstructed due to floods and landslides on Saturday, according to a report released by Nepal Police at 10 AM today. Sindhuli – Two people died and three others were injured in Sindhuli's Hariharpurgadhi Rural Municipality–1, Bastipur, after a tree fell on them due to a landslide triggered by continuous rainfall on Thursday afternoon. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Suryaprakash Subedi of the District Police Office, a sal tree collapsed onto a makeshift shelter, killing 9-year-old Sarki Thing and 16-year-old Shanta Gole on the spot. The Kaligandaki Road has been completely obstructed due to a landslide. A massive landslide, including large boulders, occurred this morning at Gargare and Mulk of Kaligandaki Rural Municipality, leading to the full blockage of the roadway.
