The Pokhara High Court has begun hearing petitions related to the bail set for Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chairperson and former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane by the Kaski District Court. Lamichhane, who was released on bail of NPR 6.5 million in a case involving cooperative fraud, organized crime, and money laundering, has filed a petition arguing that the bail amount is excessively high. Lalit Bahadur Shrestha, Vice President of the Nepali Congress-affiliated trade union, has joined the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). Shrestha entered the party on Thursday. The government has fixed toll charges for the Nagdhunga Tunnel Road. A meeting of the Council of Ministers on Shrawan 26 decided to set different toll rates for entering and exiting Kathmandu. The two parties will make the announcement at a press conference in Kathmandu at 2:00 PM. It is stated that the working unity is being formed to jointly struggle on the issue of identity.
