The Nepal Teachers' Federation has decided to begin an agitation starting from the second week of Bhadra (late August), citing the government’s failure to move forward with the education bill as per prior agreements. A meeting of the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee of the House of Representatives is scheduled to be held today to discuss the School Education Bill. According to the committee, the meeting will take place at 10 AM. The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has reopened online applications for scholarship admission to Grades 11 and 12 for the academic year 2082–83 (2025–2026) to fill the remaining vacant seats. The new application round is specifically for students who appeared in the entrance exam but were not selected in the first or second nomination lists. In a notice issued on Friday, KMC has requested eligible students to submit their online applications by 5:00 PM on Shrawan 18 (August 2). The Office of the Controller of Examinations, Sanothimi, has published the schedule for the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) grade improvement exams. According to the announcement made on Saturday, the supplementary exams will be held from Shrawan 29 to Bhadra 6. Students who appeared in the SEE as regular candidates but could not achieve the required grades or were absent in the previous exams will be allowed to participate in this supplementary (grade improvement) examination.

Tribhuvan University’s Institute of Engineering (IOE) has announced the opening of online exam form submissions for various Bachelor-level programs (B.E./B.Arch). The Examination Control Division of the institute recently published a notice informing students to complete their exam forms by 22nd Shrawan for the upcoming examinations scheduled in Bhadra. Kathmandu Metropolitan City has published the results of the scholarship entrance examination conducted for students seeking admission in institutional schools under the scholarship quota for the academic year 2082/083 (2025/26) in Grades 11 and 12. According to the Education Department of the metropolis, a total of 17,229 applications were received from all 77 districts across the country. Among them, 16,137 students were shortlisted, and 14,173 students appeared in the examination. The entrance exam was conducted across 54 examination centers.
